A driving and exhilarating record, and it's absolutely epic. It's been four years since their last, and it's exciting to see that Interpol is back with a head-on rock record
In contrast with previous records, Interpol took a step back on ‘El Pintor’ and let the songs happen. What emerged is something urgent and compelling, something revitalized and reenergized. The result is as accomplished and thrilling a collection as the band has ever released. In many ways they've come full circle and have landed back closer to their debut album, but Vinyl Loop was very lucky to snag 70 copies of this album on white vinyl.
Interpol... heard of em? One of the biggest rock names in the world? Now a trio, these guys emerged from the NYC music scene in the late 90s, often playing with The Strokes, The National, and Stellastarr. They've morphed through post-punk, gothy sounds, and a touch of glam.
Matador Records is one of the great labels of all time in Vinyl Loop's opinion. Founded in 1989, they've released some of the most important records since. Based in NYC and London.
